Solidify

Solidify is where you practice the words you've saved. It uses spaced repetition — words you know well show up less often, and ones you're shaky on come back sooner — across three practice modes: Flip, Choose, and Match.

Direction and Auto play

  • Direction — the bar at the top (e.g. "Persian (Farsi) → English") shows which way you're practicing. Tap it to reverse direction at any time, so you can drill the same words from either language.
  • Auto — turn this on and each word is read aloud automatically as it appears, so you can practice listening without tapping a speaker icon every time.

Flip

Flip shows one word at a time. Tap the card to flip it and reveal the translation.

  1. A word appears in your practice language.
  2. Tap to flip the card and see the translation.
  3. Mark it right (green check) or wrong (red X) — this is what drives the spaced repetition.
  4. Use the back arrow to revisit the previous card, the speaker icon to hear the word, and the swap icon to flip the practice direction just for that card.

Tap the edit (pencil) icon on a card to fix the word or its translation directly — you don't need to leave Solidify to make a correction.

Choose

Choose shows you a word and four possible answers. Tap the one that matches. Turn on Auto to have each word read aloud as it appears, or tap the speaker icon to hear it on demand. Your position in the set (e.g. "1 / 171") is shown so you can see how much is left.

Match

Match shows a scattered mix of words in both languages on the screen at once. Drag a word onto its matching pair in the other language to connect them.

  1. Words in both languages are scattered across the screen.
  2. Drag a word from one language onto its match in the other language.
  3. Once matched, the pair is shown together (e.g. "استعماری = Colonial") with options to edit it, hear it, or flip the direction, before you move on to the next pair.
  4. Keep going until every word on the screen has been matched.
